The delivery of successful projects is often critical to business success. This assignment will enable you to demonstrate your knowledge and application of the principles of project management using the organisation from your first assignment. You are not required to deal with the budget as the finance director will set this. Although you should demonstrate how you will manage and monitor the budget etc.

You have been appointed as Project Manager of a project that develops, launches and evaluates a customer relationship management database for an organisation.  Using the organisation you have chosen, you are to produce a Project Initiation Document (PID) of 3000 words for this project. You need to demonstrate your understanding of the role of projects in delivering organisational strategy and the factors which contribute to effective project management The audience is the project sponsor/ board.  In this PID you should cover learning outcomes 1,2,3,4,5 and 6.  Your choice of organisation should be agreed with your tutor during tutorials.
