Research evidence suggests that the psychological contract (the PC) of Generation Y will be based on a different set of needs and expectations from other employees. Critically explore the role of the psychological contract and discuss how organisations can respond to these changing expectations.

Examine a range of alternative methods of involving employees in decision making and discuss the benefits and challenges that these might present for an organisation.
In this essay it is expected that you demonstrate your understanding of the topic and critically explore the different perspectives required for the essay you have chosen. Further information on hints and tips to help you complete this essay will be given in the lecture in Unit 8.
